girl-germs:
Phew. I went into this thinking it would be some sort of scathing criticism. I was like, whatchu gonna say? But it’s totally not.
I went into this expecting it to be at least mild criticism, and was disappointed. Anyone who has talked to me about Harry Potter knows that I think the plots of the female characters seem to inevitably pivot at some point on some form of character...
Dis-assmbling
I have been out of teacher mode for two weeks now, feeling like a normal human being, doing some work on tests and unit plans, but no LPs, reaching a point where I (seriously) kind of miss my kiddos— after all even though they drive me nuts on a regular basis, I do spend every day with them and cumulatively they are often the most significant human contact I have each day.
I haven’t...

Because I’m lame and sickly and not sleepy, I started looking at a few things for my taxes. I have an envelope by my “bills” area labeled “teacher expenses” for when I remember to save my receipts for things I buy for my classroom.
This year I spent: $254.15
And those are only the receipts I remembered to save (let along separate other items from my regular shopping).

And, of course, it was about Harry Potter. Standard.

Calling It Now:
Glee related thoughts. New Directions will make it to Nationals. Through some weird series of hijinx/outside circumstances, the Cheerios and ND will merge forces to form a super alliance of song and dance to take the championship.
Imagine: Ray of Light dance moves plus Somebody to Love vocals. That is a team I can see winning (actually).
